The simplest, best looking, and most customizable Bible app you will ever use! Dozens of Bibles, parallel reading, powerful searching, study tools, NET notes, social sharing, autoscrolling, verse markup, notes, daily reading plans, iCloud syncing and backups, and so much more! This app is superb. It is by far the most customizable bible app on the App Store when it comes to formatting.
Paragraph kjv? Precise margin adjustments? It loads fast and has additional study tools available for purchase in app as well. You can view a reasonable set of translations and split the view to have up to four bibles side by side.
The kjv can be used offline, but others may require the internet. Has a great search function that works well. Overall, it is my favorite bible app by far on iOS.
The developer is very good with communication and support as well. My only desire would be a "slightly" more advanced reading plan. It is simple and works well, but being able to pick a start date would be ideal I don't always start a plan on January 1and other apps have far more options. However, for what I use the app for, mainly a very readable and clean and book-like bible experience, the app absolutely excels. I can use other apps for a reading plan such as ReadingPlan, which can launch this app for readings and is almost the equivalent awesomeness for a reading plan app.
Highly recommend this app. For actually reading the Bible, there is no better kjv app. Very quick, pulls up and navigates instantly.Autozone inspection camera
Easy to navigate, tons of customization options I recommend Baskerville fontand for just a couple bucks tons of notes and commentaries. Has the online ESV and several other translations offline. Just discovered the very nice notes system which sorts notes by chapter: very quick and easy way to take notes. Simple and lightweight, with no silly "social" features beyond basic sharing.
Lightweight and looks great. Recent updates have indeed changed many things, and the developer Paul has worked his tail off to make a great looking app that is also easy to navigate. I truly believe he has done this with the most recent update, and the app continues to improve regularly. He updates it very often. Absolutely, hands down, the best Bible app out. In app purchases are well worth the content too. Thank you sir. One request though, could you move the concordance back to the verse tap menu.
I see the advantage of the way it works now, with the whole chapter available, but when you hit the "X" after looking at one word, to select another word, the list of verses jumps back to a predetermined spot, and you often have to scroll the list to find the desired verse. If it would just go back to the verse I was just at, I wouldn't want it moved back really.
Just something to look at. Feb 18, Version I liked the icons, but I don't have to figure out or remember what the words do. Some other nice tweaks too, but this one is a home run for me.

Roman Catholicshigh church AnglicansMethodists and Eastern Orthodox Christians stress the harmony and importance of both the Bible and sacred tradition while many Protestant churches focus on the idea of sola scripturaor scripture alone.
This concept rose to prominence during the Reformationand many denominations today support the use of the Bible as the only infallible source of Christian teaching. Others though, advance the concept of prima scriptura in contrast. Both the Old Testament and the New Testament have undergone changes over the centuries, including the the publication of the King James Bible in and the addition of several books that were discovered later. The Old Testament is the first section of the Bible, covering the creation of Earth through Noah and the flood, Moses and more, finishing with the Jews being expelled to Babylon.

The Septuagint was the version of the Bible used by early Christians in Rome. The Book of Daniel was written during this period and included in the Septuagint at the last moment, though the text itself claims to have been written sometime around B.
It collects 27 books, all originally written in Greek. The sections of the New Testament concerning Jesus are called the Gospels and were written about 40 years after the earliest written Christian materials, the letters of Paul, known as the Epistles.
Scribes copied the letters and kept them in circulation. As circulation continued, the letters were collected into books.

Some in the church, inspired by Paul, began to write and circulate their own letters, and so historians believe that some books of the New Testament attributed to Paul were in fact written by disciples and imitators. The oral traditions within the church formed the substance of the Gospels, the earliest book of which is Mark, written around 70 A. It is theorized there may have been an original document of sayings by Jesus known as the Q source, which was adapted into the narratives of the Gospels.
Matthew and Luke were next in the chronology. Both used Mark as a reference, but Matthew is considered to have another separate source, known as the M source, as it contains some different material from Mark.
The Book of John, written around A. All four books cover the life of Jesus with many similarities, but sometimes contradictions in their portrayals. Each is considered to have its own political and religious agenda linked to authorship.
What Other Proof Exists? The Book of Revelation is the final book of the Bible, an example of apocalyptic literature that predicts a final celestial war through prophecy. Authorship is ascribed to John, but little else is known about the writer.

At the time the album was written and recorded, lyricist and rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards was struggling with severe depressionalcohol abuseself-harm and anorexia nervosaand its contents are considered by many sources to reflect his mental state.
The songs focus on themes relating to politics and human suffering. The Holy Bible was the band's last album released before Edwards' disappearance on 1 February Although it reached number 6 on the UK Albums Chartinitially, global sales were disappointing compared to previous albums and the record did not chart in mainland Europe or North America.
The Holy Bible has sold over half a million copies worldwide as of [update] and over the years it received significant critical acclaim. The album has been featured and listed highly on lists of the best albums of all time by British music publications such as Melody MakerNME and Q. According to drummer Sean Moorethe band felt they had been "going a bit astray" with their previous album, 's Gold Against the Souland so the approach to the follow-up was for the band to go back to their "grass roots" and rediscover "a little bit of Britishness that we lacked".
Epic Records had proposed that the album be recorded in Barbados but the band had wanted to avoid what Bradfield called "all that decadent rockstar rubbish". Bradfield has described the recording of the album as preventing him from having a social life and Alex Silva attributes the break-up of his relationship with his girlfriend at the time to the long hours involved in the recording.
The album was constructed with "academic discipline", according to Bradfield, with the band working to headings and structures "so each song is like an essay". At the time of the album's 10th anniversary reissue Wire claimed to be largely responsible for "Ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayit'sworldwouldfallapart" and "This Is Yesterday", contributing only titles to some of the other songs.
The album's lyrics deal with subjects including child prostitution, American consumerismBritish imperialismfreedom of speechthe Holocaustself-starvation, serial killersthe death penaltypolitical revolution, childhood, fascism and suicide.
Sean Moore has described the content of the lyrics as being "as far as Richey's character could go". Some [ Interviewed at the time of the album's release, Nicky Wire said that the track "Ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayit'sworldwouldfallapart" was "not a completely anti-American song", but instead was about "how the most empty culture in the world can dominate in such a total sense".Kali tantra vidya
Wire described "Revol" as being about Edwards' idea that "relationships in politics, and relationships in general, are failures". He said that he was "completely confused" by "Faster" some of which he had written although Edwards had told him that it was about self-abuse. According to Wire, "Die in the Summertime" and " 4st 7lb " were "pretty obviously about Richey's state of mind". Wire and Bradfield have both expressed a disliking for the lyrics to the song " She Is Suffering ", Wire saying it suffers from "man-coming-to-the-rescue syndrome".
